Ansonia police report attempted robbery, seek info on male suspect

From Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch:

"On March 23, 2020 at about 12:40 A.M., a male suspect attempted to rob the Shell Gas Station at 696 Main Street. The male armed with a handgun entered the store demanding money, fired one shot while inside the store before leaving without taking anything from the store. The clerk in the store was not injured during the incident. The male, unknown race, was light skinned wearing a surgical mask and rubber gloves dressed in blue jeans, black shirt, purple plush sweatshirt, black baseball cap and grey sneakers with white soles. The male left the store walking northbound. Suspect photo is attached.
