Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia hosts MLK celebration

The Rev. Samuel Levey, pastor, Williams Temple, Church of God in Christ in Ansonia, speaks Monday to the congregation at Macedonia Baptist Church, also in Ansonia. About 200 people attended an annual celebration of the legacy of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
King was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tenn. at the age of 39.

Josephine McPhail led the singing of the Negro National Anthem, Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing.
