T-shirts tell story at vigil in Shelton

Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services hosts event

These T-shirts are part of a collection that hung from clotheslines Wednesday during a vigil in Huntington Congregational Church hall in Shelton.

They were created by clients of The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services.
The shirts are part of The Clothesline Project, established in 1990 by a group of women in Massachusetts to promote awareness of domestic violence.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Stay tuned for a story in the Valley Independent Sentinel.
