Salvation Army in Ansonia asks public to place donations in bin in parking lot

ANSONIA -We are so grateful for the generosity of our community!

However, we kindly ask that you do not leave bags, boxes, or furniture around our building, as they create an additional burden for our staff and volunteers to remove and dispose of.
The only donations we are able to accept at this location are clothing and shoes that fit inside the white donation bin located in our parking lot. If the items do not fit in the bin, please do not leave them on the property.
Thank you for helping us keep our property clean and safe for everyone!
The Salvation Army Greater Valley is at 26 Lester St.

Seymour Police to participate in Special Olympics Torch Run

SEYMOUR - Officers from the Seymour Police Department will proudly participate today in the Annual Special Olympics Torch Run, helping to support an incredible cause and raise awareness for Special Olympics athletes.

The run is scheduled to begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. today at the Route 67 Seymour/Oxford town line and will continue along Route 67 to the Seymour/Woodbridge town line, where the torch will be passed off to continue its journey.
Motorists should expect temporary traffic delays along the route during this time.
We appreciate your patience and support as our officers join law enforcement agencies across the state in carrying the Flame of Hope for Special Olympics.
