Great Hill United Methodist Church in Seymour slates outdoor flea market


SEYMOUR  - Looking for your next great flea market find? 
If yes, join the Great Hill UMC community for their huge outdoor flea market on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Great Hill UMC Grove, 225 Great Hill Road.
There will be numerous vendor spaces, each 10' x 8' in our shaded grove. Vendors must supply their own tables/chairs.

Flea market slated Saturday at First Baptist Church in Shelton


SHELTON - A large outdoor community flea market will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 178 Leavenworth Road. Rain date is Oct. 6.

"We are excited to announce that in addition to multiple tag sale tables, we also have many vendors joining us, including Lularoe, Paparazzi Jewelry, Tupperware home products, Steeped Tea (a popular line of loose tea), Color Street Strip Nails, beaded jewelry, honey and honey- made products, Mason Jar decor, and an Anderson Windows vendor. 

"There will also be a table with pumpkins and fall treats for sale. Be sure to come hungry because there will be a food table offering burgers, hotdogs, and beverages for sale. 
"This event will raise funds for our church ministries to the community and beyond."

Flea Market Flip to benefit My Sister's Place in Ansonia

ANSONIA - My Sister’s Place Flea Market Flip is a fun, creative twist on recycling or upcycling similar to the HGTV show with the same name, Flea Market Flip

Proceeds from the sale of each flip item will benefit The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services. 

Individual participants or teams of two must purchase their flip item(s) at MSP for $25 or less by Sept. 25. 
Registration forms are available at the store and must be completed at the time of purchase. No more than $50 may be spent on repurposing/up-cycling the item(s). Receipts must be shown when submitting the repurposed item.

Items will be displayed and sold on Oct. 1 during Shelton Day. Any items not sold that day will be placed on sale at the store. All flips must be delivered to Howe Avenue, Shelton by 9 a.m. on Oct. 1.

Shelton Day attendees will have the opportunity to cast a vote for their favorite flip, and the flip with the most votes wins! 

A Flea Market Flip kickoff will be held at the store Aug. 17 from 5-7 p.m. featuring special flip items and, honor of National Thrift Store Day, shoppers will receive 25 percent off their purchase of $15 or more.

Update: Flea Market in Seymour postponed to Sunday, First Saturday is on

SEYMOUR - The Shops Downtown will hold their annual Sidewalk Sale in conjunction with the First Saturday Celebration from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. 
Don't miss this month! 
Merchants will be offering refreshments and bargains!

Lizzie's Corner Home Consignment and Gifts is hosting a Mini Flea Market Sunday at the corner of Bank and Wakeley Streets too! 
Start your day downtown with breakfast or come later for lunch or dinner. 
The Culture and Arts Commission is hosting a concert at 6 p.m., and The Strand Theater will show a classic movie at 7 p.m. 
There will be lots of activities for the whole family.

St. Mary-St. Michael School in Derby to hold flea market

DERBY - St. Mary-St. Michael School is holding its first Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 14.
Rain date is May 15. 

The school is at 14 Seymour Ave.

Organizers are looking for all kinds of vendors, from regular clean-out-the-house flea market/tag sale to crafters and regular vendors. 
Please note: The items you bring in to sell that don't sell need to go home with you that day.

Table space is $25 if you bring your own table, $35 if the school needs to supply a table.
