Recuperation journey: Breezy Mother's Day

Charles Island

We took an impromptu drive today to Silver Sands State Park in Milford.

Sunny but breezy is the best way to describe our stroll on the boardwalk.

We were participating in the West Haven-based Center for Disability Rights' wheel-a-thon fundraiser held each year at Savin Rock.

I needed to leave the Valley (!) Thursday morning and when I was on Route 1 returning to Ansonia I made a quick stop at Silver Sands State Park in Milford.

Recuperation journey: Outside of the Valley, briefly

Today I learned from a friend that it isn't against the law for me to leave the Valley.
I didn't realize that before! 😉
So I left.
I went to Milford and snapped this photo of Walnut Beach from the comfort of my car.

I only wish the sun had been out - for a sunset photo opportunity - at Bradley Point Park in West Haven.
