Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby to host 'Animal Architects' presentation

DERBY - Saturday morning programs will start again tomorrow at the Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorne Ave.

Join Center staff under the tent at 10 a.m. Saturday to learn about Animal Architects.

Families and individuals will enjoy this short presentation which includes examples of wondrous structures built by wildlife as homes or when short periods of protection were needed.

After the presentation, families are encouraged to stay outdoors on a self-guided excursion searching for other animal architect examples in the fields and woods across the street at Osbornedale State Park.

Dress for the weather and remember to follow instructions on the bottles of sunscreen and insect repellant.
