Derby Historical Society to hold Open House at Humphreys House

ANSONIA - The Derby Historical Society will hold an Open House from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. July 20 at the David Humphreys House, 37 Elm St.

Pictured here is part of the historical society's temporary exhibit highlighting 1st Sgt. Charles S. Tatten, Ansonia's first police officer of color for a period of 19 years until his death in 1918. Tatten was a Nehantic Native American.
