Derby Public Library to present March Matinees on Tuesdays

Seymour Public Library to host presentation about roses by horticulturist

Peter Winne


SEYMOUR - Seymour Public Library will host a workshop, Growing & Caring for Roses, presented by horticulturist Peter Winne at 5:15 p.m. March 7.

Winne will present a 45-minute program in person on growing and caring for roses in the Northeast followed by a Q&A session.
Prior to the program, he will be offering a hands-on workshop on how to prune roses right on the library grounds weather permitting.
Feel free to bring gloves and pruners if you'd like to give it a try!
A Hartford-based horticulturist, Winne designs and cares for gardens in public parks and on unique and historic residential properties in Connecticut and New York.
He founded Peter Winne Gardens in 2021 after four years as Head Gardener at Elizabeth Park, home of the nation's oldest public rose garden.
