'Turnback Tuesday' features Old Mill Stone outside Derby Public Library

In honor of National Poem Month, we're sharing this poem on Turnback Tuesday of the Old Mill Stone located at the Derby Public Library. 

Miss Ada S. Shelton read this verse at the meeting of Sarah Riggs Humphreys Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. It concerns the mill stone placed for a sun dial at the Derby Public Library in 1929.

Recuperation journey: I'm a fan of ceiling fans

This sounds silly, but I penned a short ode to ceiling fans ~

Ceiling fans are great,
We've been using them as of late.

They help circulate the dust air -
The job they do is more than fair.

They're part of our house -
Always quiet as a mouse.

I'd say we can all agree
They save money on A/C.
