DERBY - For the third straight year, AAA Northeast presented Griffin Hospital’s Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley Coalition with a $2,500 donation for the purchase of child passenger safety seats as part of its ongoing charitable giving efforts throughout its territory of New Haven, Litchfield, and Fairfield Counties.

The donation is through the AAA Employee Charitable Giving Foundation which awards gifts to nonprofit agencies in the Connecticut and Rhode Island area each year that go above and beyond to help their community.

Special attention is given to those underserved areas and children.

The Coalition was chosen for its work in providing needed child car and booster seat for underserved populations in the area.

Safe Kids also conducts monthly clinics at Griffin to educate parents on the proper installation of car seats and when necessary, provides free car seats to qualified recipients.

This is a press release from Griffin Health.
