DERBY - Children ages 3-11 are welcome to join the popular B.A.R.K. (Be A Reading Kid) program from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Derby Public Library where Molly is following in her brother Ollie’s “paw steps.”

This is a great opportunity for beginner or reluctant readers - as well as experienced readers - to build confidence, enhance literary skills achieved during the school year, and develop a love of reading.

Children will be given a 10-minute time slot to read and may select a book from home, or one they have already checked out from, or is provided by, the library, to share with her for the program.

The program will be held outside and participants are requested to follow CDC guidelines.

The Library is at 313 Elizabeth St. It WILL NOT be open to the public. Please plan accordingly.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED at  http://www.derbypubliclibrary.org.

This is shared from an online community calendar sponsored by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and The New Haven Independent.
