Derby Neck Library to host 'The Roots of Black Music in America' program

Shared from Derby Neck Library Facebook event page:

If you enjoy music and history, you're going to love this!

Karlus Trapp’s delightful, educational, and entertaining presentation ”The Roots of Black Music in America” is a 100-year journey back through time to hear, experience anew, and learn about the music of America’s black musical giants, like Diana Ross and the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, and many more!

It is a joyful show that encourages and comes alive through audience participation and interaction with singing, dancing, call and response and percussion playing. Please be warned: If you join this show, you may find yourself uncontrollably smiling, singing or humming for hours afterward! This is an all-ages program; the more the merrier!

Registration is required for this program in order to receive the Zoom link. If you're not already on our program mailing list, send us a message here or call the library at 203-734-1492 to be added!
