Huntington Branch Library in Shelton offers weaving class for kids



Weaving with Kids
Ages: 8 years old and up
Day/Date: Monday, April 30
Time: 5:15- 6:15 p.m.
Location: Huntington Branch Library, 41 Church St., Shelton
Children ages 8 years old and up are welcome to join Ms. Leanne to create beautiful, one of a kind yarn weavings on cardboard looms.
All materials will be provided. Each child must be registered individually.

Weaving workshop for kids slated at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton


Yarn Baskets Workshop

Ages: 6 years and older
Day/Date: Tuesday, July 2
Time: 10-11 a.m.
Location: Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster St., Shelton

Learn to make a loom from a paper plate then weave yarn to create a colorful basket in this hands-on art workshop! 

Caregivers will be participating in this program with their child.

Learn to weave vine crowns at Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center

   VINE CROWNS AND CIRCLETS 

ANSONIA - Join Ranger Jessica on a woodland adventure at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 19 to harvest invasive vines and weave them into beautiful crowns! 
Use these new skills to craft magical toys, hoops, bracelets, necklaces, and dreamcatchers, all while helping our forests.

Bring your own clippers. This is a free event. 
For ages 5 years old and up (children must be accompanied by an adult).
The Nature Center is at 10 Deerfield Road.
