Reminder: Church to hold Corpus Christi Procession Sunday in Derby

DERBY - Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Parish invites the community to participate in a Eucharistic Procession through downtown immediately following the 11:30 a.m. Mass. 
The procession commemorates the Feast of Corpus Christi.

The parish will be honored to welcome The Most Rev. Leonard Blair, S.T.D., the fifth archbishop of Hartford. 
The archbishop will celebrate 11:30 a.m. Mass and then lead the third annual procession with pastor, the Rev. Christopher Tiano, and parochial vicar, the Rev. Vincent Curran. 
The procession is also pleased to welcome Father G. Marek Sadowski, CM the provincial of the New England Province of the Vincentians religious order and Father Raphael Kopystynski, CM the Pastor of St. Michael Parish in Derby. 

The procession will leave from St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth St. at approximately 12:30 p.m.  
It will make six stops: 
Derby Elks Lodge, Derby Green, Derby City Hall, Hallock's Landing, St. Mary-St. Michael School, and finally return to the steps of St. Mary Church for benediction. 

Individuals unable to walk the route are invited to meet the group at each of these places. 
Each stop will allow time for prayer and reflection. 
After the procession, refreshments will be served in the St. Mary Church hall.
