Shelton facility to host author's talk about her WWII memoir

SHELTON - The community is invited to Crosby Commons Independent and Assisted Living Community at 3 p.m. July 17 for a book presentation and signing by author Janina Nawarskas.
She will discuss her memoir, “A Child Lost: My Life’s Journey from War Torn Europe to Proud American.”

The book tells the inspiring story of how Janina, born in 1936 in Lithuania, had her comfortable life with her parents and brothers shattered by World War II, leaving her an orphan child attempting to survive in the hellish ruins of war-torn Europe.

All are welcome to join us for the presentation; the event is free and open to the public.

Crosby Commons is located on the Wesley Village campus, 580 Long Hill Ave.

For more information or to RSVP, contact Mary Ann Milano, 203-225-5018 or at mamilano@umh.org.
