Klarides-Ditria: State creates UniteCT emergency rental assistance program

 

I just wanted you to know that the Connecticut Department of Housing introduced UniteCT - a $235 million federally-funded program to assist residents financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic who are struggling to pay their rent and utility bills. Landlords and utility companies will be eligible to receive up to $10,000 in rental assistance and up to $1,500 in electric utility payments per approved tenant/customer. The program will provide assistance of up to 80 percent of the HUD Area Median Income (AMI).
