'Turnback Tuesday' seeks public's help identifying image

Turnback Tuesday needs some assistance. Derby Public Library has images taken by James Caporale Photographer from 1932 to 1946. The above image is not dated or labeled. This is where we could use your help.

The group of gentlemen seems to be at some meeting or ceremony, not sure where. There is a military photo on the back wall to the right as well as a document that says "Boy Scouts of America." The uniformed gentlemen seated in the center has a number 34 on his lapel. The cap on the table reads "Connecticut." This is where you come in.

We are looking for names of any of these gentlemen, where this image was taken, a possible year and what group or organization it was.

DPL has many more images taken by James. If anyone would like to help identify them, please contact our Local History Coordinator, Christine Boulay, at cboulay@biblio.org to make arrangements.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks goes to Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
