Ansonia Police arrest Rhode Island man, 21, in April street takeover

ANSONIA - Police arrested Matthew Kinney, 21, of Rhode Island Monday for his involvement in the April 26 street takeover in Ansonia. 

Kinney turned himself in and is the fourth arrest in the investigation, Lt. Patrick Lynch said Thursday afternoon in a release. Detectives continue to investigate to identify others involved in the incident.

Kinney was charged with riot first degree, conspiracy to riot first degree, risk of injury, breach of peace second degree, and racing. 

He posted a $50,000 bond and will be arraigned July 14 at Derby Superior Court.

All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
