Beacon Falls Public Library to launch graphic novel book club


BEACON FALLS - A new Graphic Novel Book Club is starting this fall at Beacon Falls Public Library.
Our first book, 'Witches of Brooklyn', is now available at the circulation desk.

Every month Miss Kerri will select one of her favorite Graphic Novels to discuss, and will share an activity inspired by the book. September's book, "Witches of Brooklyn", by Sophie Escabasse is available at the circulation desk.

Registration is required. After school pickup is available (email Miss Kerri at KVardon@biblio.org for more information).

Shameless to perform Tuesday on Derby Green

Enjoy Afternoon Tea V Tuesday at Derby Neck Library


DERBY - Meet on Tuesdays in Derby Neck Library's Community Room and enjoy a showing on a large-screen TV followed by a discussion of the episode. 

Light snacks and flavored teas are served at each meeting.

Seymour Public Library to show 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'


SEYMOUR - Join us at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Seymour Public Library in the lower level auditorium to watch a movie! Light refreshments will be served. The Library is at 46 Church St.

We'll be showing "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" starring Nia Vardalos, John Corbett, and Michael Constantine. It is rated PG and its duration is 1 hour, 35 minutes.
Summary: A young Greek woman falls in love with a non-Greek and struggles to get her family to accept him while she comes to terms with her heritage and cultural identity.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton to show 'Lilo & Stitch'


SHELTON  - Looking for a free family summer activity? Join us at 1 p.m. this Wednesday at Plumb Memorial Library as we show a FREE, family friendly movie and provide snacks too. Please bring your own beverages. NO Alcohol is allowed. Caregivers must remain with their children for movie duration.

Registration is required per family, please list each family member's name and age that will be attending the movie.
