'Turnback Tuesday' features peek into Derby Public Library plans

Turnback Tuesday offers a peek into the beginning of the Derby Public Library.
Col. H. Holton and Mrs. Alice Wood very generously created and donated a public library for the town of Derby.
This picture is of an original blueprint for the library. It shows what was planned for the main floor with the front entrance on the right and back entrance on the left.
The Library was built with the capacity to house 30,000 books.
Notice the signature of Col. H Holton Wood in the bottom left corner.

Thanks as always to the Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week!
