ANSONIA - The Ansonia Library will host a free recycled crafts class from 5:30-7 p.m. Sept. 27.

Instructor Jeannie Roslonowski will show participants how to create fun crafts using a variety of repurposed items.

The Library is at 53 South Cliff St.

Cub Scout Pack 11 in Seymour to hold Olympics, open house

SEYMOUR - Kick off the 2018-19 year at Cub Scout Pack 11's annual Olympics from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church St.
Medals will be awarded at a Blue and Gold dinner. 
Also that evening join Pack 11 at its annual open house. 
Pack 11 is a year-round family program for boys in kindergarten through fifth grade (ages 5-10). 
The program emphasizes leadership, learning about the community and the environment, family, character, and citizenship. 

Kindergarteners = Lions
1st graders = Tigers
2nd graders = Wolves
3rd graders = Bears
4th and 5th graders = Webelos
Older boys are invited to join Troop 11.

Derby Public Library slates September book discussion

DERBY - The Derby Public Library will hold its monthly Lunchtime Book Discussion at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

The featured book is A Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline.
