Salvation Army Ansonia joins Valley Save Our Youth for Back to School Rally
ANSONIA - The Salvation Army Ansonia is teaming up with VSOY (Valley Save Our Youth) once again for their annual Back To School Rally!!
If you would like to contribute feel free to drop off supplies at 26 Lester St.
Let's help our Greater Valley youth start the school year off right!!

'Turnback Tuesday' features Old Irving School in Derby
Turnback Tuesday reminds us that the new school year is just around the corner with an image of the Old Irving School that was located at the corner of Olivia and 5th Streets.
Built in 1869, with the high school located on the top floor, the first graduating class from Irving School was in 1876. This impressive building stood at this location for 85 years.
The second image is from an 1898 map of Derby showing where the school was located.
Thanks goes to the Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
