Seymour Lions to sponsor Cruise Night Thursday

SEYMOUR - The Seymour Lions Club will sponsor a Cruise Night from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Tri-Town Plaza, 814 Derby Ave. 


Admission is free.

All classes of cars, trucks, and motorcycles will be on display.
The event is weather permitting.
Trophies will be awarded.

Don’t forget to bring your old eyeglasses, sunglasses, and hearingaids to be donated.

Bear sighting in Seymour

Sharing from the Facebook page of the Office of First Selectman Kurt Miller:
"There has been a black bear sighting in the Great Hill area by several residents. We are aware of the issue and are working with the appropriate people to address the situation. Please be aware and use caution, especially with your pets. I'll post more information as I get it."

Shelton officials to host picnic Friday

SHELTON - Mayor Mark A. Lauretti will host a picnic lunch at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Pavilion on Canal Street. The annual event is an opportunity to network with local business and government leaders.

The event is rain or shine.

Members of Sutter-Terlizzi Post 16, American Legion, will hold a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park.
