DERBY -St. Mary St Michael School is holding its Annual Festival of Trees & Christmas Bazaar at a new location - St. Jude's Church, 71 Pleasant View Road.
Please find vendor contract and information attached.

Our festival will have indoor and outdoor vending spots available. We also will have food trucks onsite.
Registration preference is first come, first serve, but the deadline is Oct. 23.




Seymour Public Library to host Mystery Book Club discussion


SEYMOUR - The Seymour Public Library Mystery Book Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 14 in the lower level of the library, 46 Church St.
In the mystery from New York Times bestselling author Charles Todd, World War I nurse and amateur sleuth Bess Crawford investigates an old murder that occurred during her childhood in India, a search for the truth that will transform her and leave her pondering a troubling question: How can facts lie?

Copies of the book will be available for check out at the circulation desk with a valid library card.

Today we saw this hawk come in for a landing on a light pole. After a quick Internet search I think it might be a broad-winged hawk.

Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center hosts Monday Morning Walks


ANSONIA - Hike the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center trails on Monday morning for a positive start to your week. 
Come and learn about the history and ecology of the land while Ranger Dan, our Assistant Director, leads this weekly hike on our beautiful nature preserve.
We will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
