Due to Legislative business, Senator Logan’s Monthly Coffee Hour at Three Brothers Diner in Hamden has been cancelled for tomorrow, June 2nd at 8am.

Vendors sought for TEAM Festival of Trees and Holiday Market in Shelton



SHELTON - Wesley Village, a campus of senior living communities at 580 Long Hill Ave., is seeking vendors for the annual TEAM Festival of Trees and Wesley Village Holiday Market. 
The fair is being held Nov. 18-19, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. 
If you are looking for a well-attended event in which to sell your special crafts, we have 8-foot tables available for $55 a day or $100 for both days. 

Please contact the Office of Mission Development at Wesley Village at 203-925-4953 or bmarsh@umh.org, to request an application and reserve your table. 
The deadline for vendor applications is July 31.

Taco Tuesday event to benefit Adam's House in Shelton

"Come in to the Chipotle at 701 Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton on June 13 between 4-9 pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 50 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Adam's House."



Celebrate founding of Derby Neck Library and more in June


DERBY - Derby Neck Library, 307 Hawthorne Ave., has scheduled several interesting activities in June. 

Women's Forum
At 12:30 p.m. June 19 the Women’s Forum will meet to discuss two short stories by American author Carson McCullers—“A Domestic Dilemma” and “Madame Zilensky and the King of Finland.”  
Copies of the stories are available at the library. Attendees may wish to bring a light lunch. Free coffee and tea will be served. 

Tech Talks
On June 21 at 10:30 a.m., the Library presents Tech Talks, a monthly program highlighting what is new in technology and how to best use it in your daily life. 

Anniversary celebration
The Library celebrates the anniversary of its founding in 1897 at 6:30 p.m. June 21.  A powerpoint lecture will be presented by reference librarian Patricia Sweeney - “The 120 Year History of Derby Neck Library.” 
Light refreshments will be served.  

Evening Book Club   
The Library hosts the Evening Book Club at 6:30 p.m. June 26. This month’s selection is a mystery, “The Daughter of Time” by Josephine Tey.  
Copies of the book are available at the library. Join in for an informative and stimulating discussion.
