Join us for a festive, family-friendly celebration filled with all your favorite holiday traditions.

Kriz Farm is at 13 Bear Hill Road.

What to Expect:

Pre-Cut Christmas Trees & Wreaths: Find the perfect tree for your home, along with beautiful wreaths to add a touch of holiday cheer to your doorstep.

Craft Vendors: Shop local artisans offering unique holiday gifts, decorations, and handcrafted goods.

Food Trucks: Enjoy delicious treats from a variety of food trucks, serving up everything from sweet treats to savory favorites.

Ice Cream Stand: Indulge in some seasonal favorites like eggnog milkshakes, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and more. Plus, our stand will be serving up a variety of seasonal ice cream flavors—perfect for those who love a sweet treat, even in the winter!

Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides: Take a festive wagon ride around the farm, perfect for making memories with loved ones.

Admission: $5 per car - a small fee for a big dose of holiday magic!

Join Celebrate Shelton as we deck the halls and light the Community Tree from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 6.

Come early, sip on some free hot cocoa, enjoy community performances and stay warm by the bonfires, sing along to your favorite holiday songs, and shop our Holiday Market featuring an amazing group of local artisans and vendors!

Tree lighting will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance too!

Holiday market on tap at Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby

DERBY - Bring the holidays home by visiting the farmers market at Kellogg Environmental Center from 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 2. 

The market will feature a selection of items for gift giving, eating, and stocking up for coming holiday events.

The Center at 500 Hawthorne Ave. is operated by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Local produce, meats, honey, and more will be available from farmers as well as a selection of locally produced foods and gifts including cards, birdhouses, and more.

Wesley Village to host annual TEAM Festival of Trees, holiday market

SHELTON - The 14th annual TEAM Festival of Trees and Wesley Village Holiday Market will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 18-19 at Wesley Village Senior Living Campus, 580 Long Hill Ave.  

The two days include activities and fun for the whole family, including the viewing of beautifully decorated, themed trees and wreaths donated by area businesses, organizations, and individuals.  

Participants may buy raffle tickets for the chance to win any of the donated trees.  

All drawings will be held Nov.19 at the close of the event. 

The event also features a Holiday Vendor Market, with nearly 50 vendors offering a variety of unique gifts and handmade crafts.  

A local photographer will be taking Photos with Santa from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. both days.  

There will be a holiday bake sale and refreshments available from local food trucks on both days.

Parking and shuttle service will be available at Long Hill Elementary School, with disabled parking available at Wesley Village.

Please use the main entrance at Wesley Heights Assisted Living Community for this event.

Shuttle pickup and drop-off will be coordinated at this entrance only.

TEAM slates Festival of Trees, Wesley Village plans market in Shelton

Vendors sought for TEAM Festival of Trees and Holiday Market in Shelton

SHELTON - Wesley Village, a campus of senior living communities at 580 Long Hill Ave., is seeking vendors for the annual TEAM Festival of Trees and Wesley Village Holiday Market. 

The fair is being held Nov. 18-19, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. 

If you are looking for a well-attended event in which to sell your special crafts, we have 8-foot tables available for $55 a day or $100 for both days. 

Please contact the Office of Mission Development at Wesley Village at 203-925-4953 or bmarsh@umh.org, to request an application and reserve your table. 

The deadline for vendor applications is July 31.

Wesley Village is a campus of senior living and care communities including Crosby Commons Independent/Assisted Living Community, Wesley Heights Independent/Assisted Living Apartments and Cottages, Lifestyle Transitions Assisted Living & Memory Care, and Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center. Holiday market planned next weekend at Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby

DERBY - The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Kellogg Environmental Center are sponsoring a Holiday Farm Market from 4-7 p.m. Friday and again from 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 3 inside the Environmental Center to coincide with holiday tours of the Osborne Homestead Museum.  

All ages are welcome to experience a museum tour and then browse through the market while enjoying a cup of warm cider.

For more than 30 years, garden clubs have annually decorated the Osborne Homestead Museum with festive holiday displays and arrangements.  
This year there will be wonderful displays featuring semi-precious stones in each room.  
To help extend the holiday atmosphere, the Farm Market will be open during the first of the twilight tours on Friday evening and continue through Saturday morning.

Visitors will enjoy local farm produce, meats, preserves, and honey as well as unique gift items made by local crafters and producers.  

By making purchases at the market you will be helping small, local businesses, and can also begin your holiday shopping at the same time.  Cash or checks only will be accepted for payment.
  

The Kellogg Environmental Center and Osborne Homestead Museum are located at 500 Hawthorne Ave. The Environmental Center is open throughout the year for educational activities and events.  
The Osborne Homestead Museum showcases the history of Francis Osborne Kellogg and offers scheduled museum tours May through October and again at the holiday season.  Tours are free of charge, with donations gratefully accepted.

Osborne Homestead in Derby will feature 'Sparkling Holiday' theme

DERBY - Celebrate the holidays at the Osborne Homestead Museum and learn about the legends and origins of gemstones.  

Each room will be brilliantly decorated to the theme “A Sparkling Holiday.”  

Holiday tours will run from Nov. 25 through Dec. 17.

Tours will be offered Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  On Fridays, Dec. 2, 9, and 16, the museum will present “Twilight Tours” to show off the shimmering glow of the decorations from 4-7 p.m. 
  

For more than 30 years, volunteers have created the gorgeous holiday decorations at the museum.  

These talented and committed volunteers are members of the Derby Garden Society, Garden Club of Orange, Long Hill Garden Club, Naugatuck Garden Club, Olde Ripton Garden Club of Shelton, Oxford Garden Club, Pomperaug Valley Garden Club of Woodbury, Roxbury/Bridgewater Garden Club, Women Redefining Retirement Milford, and Ye Olde Kellogg Garden Club.

Visitors will also get a chance to support local farms and small businesses at the Connecticut Holiday Market in the Kellogg Environmental Center located behind the museum.  The Holiday Market will be held Dec. 2 from 4-7 p.m. and Dec. 3 from 9 a.m.-noon.  
Choose from a wide variety of products, such as Connecticut Grown produce, meat products, beauty and bath products, teas, and much more.

The Osborne Homestead Museum celebrates the life of Frances Osborne Kellogg, the award-winning dairy farmer who bred the legendary Holstein bull Ivanhoe.  
In the early to mid–1900s, she and her husband Waldo Kellogg made Osbornedale Farm second to none in New England with their record-breaking, prize-winning Holstein-Friesian cattle.  
Frances Kellogg held many high ranking positions in several dairy associations, including President of the American Holstein Friesian Association and Director of the New Haven County Farm Bureau.  
She also left an endowment to the University of Connecticut which established the Kellogg Dairy Center in Storrs.  
Her cow pastures and farm, which she deeded to the State of Connecticut, are now Osbornedale State Park and the Kellogg Estate in Derby.   

Make it a “jewel” of a holiday and visit the Osborne Homestead Museum.  
Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
