Derby Town Clerk announces Derby-Shelton Memorial Day Parade route


 Permanent Parade Route

Starts in Shelton on Howe Avenue at Wharf St, heading South, then

Right on Kneen St, then Right on Coram Ave, then Right on White St, then

Right on Howe Ave, then Left on to Derby Shelton Bridge to Derby, then

Right on Main St, then Left on Elizabeth to end at Cottage St.

Derby-Shelton Parade steps off at 9 a.m. Monday in Shelton

The annual Derby-Shelton Parade will start in Shelton at 9 a.m. Monday. It will happen rain or shine.

It starts at Howe Avenue and Kneen Street. 

The parade will go from Kneen Street to Coram Avenue to White Street to Howe Avenue. It will proceed over the Derby-Shelton Bridge into Derby.

In Derby, the parade takes Main Street to get the Elizabeth Street to Cottage Street, where the parade ends.

Reminder: Master's Table offers free meal Sunday at Assumption Church in Ansonia

Free Community Meal

When: Sunday, Aug. 24 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. or until food runs out (rain or shine).
Where: Assumption Church Hall, 61 N. Cliff St., Ansonia
❗️Must be present to receive a meal.
❗️Park car and enter church hall, masks are optional. If you are unable to exit your car or don't want to come inside, please speak to our volunteers outside and they will bring out your meal.
❗️Pick up meal and browse giveaway table. You can eat your takeout meal inside but bring your own beverage.

Farmer's Market to return to Ansonia Friday

ANSONIA - Mayor David S. Cassetti today announced the return of the Farmer’s Market this Friday, June 13 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. It will run through Nov. 21, rain or shine.

Please come on down for some of Gazy Brothers delicious fruits and vegetables and Amski's Delights jams and jellies and more!

Celebrate Shelton to host tree lighting, holiday market at Veterans Memorial Park


Join Celebrate Shelton as we deck the halls and light the Community Tree from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 6.
Come early, sip on some free hot cocoa, enjoy community performances and stay warm by the bonfires, sing along to your favorite holiday songs, and shop our Holiday Market featuring an amazing group of local artisans and vendors!
Tree lighting will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance too!
