"We’re back on time. After last August’s tropical storm power outage knocked out our library’s three historic tower clocks, it wasn’t until earlier today [Thursday] that time was restored. And the process of resetting time inside this 1891 constructed building requires a professional time keeper.
"Sean Kane owner of About Time Restorations in Higganum, used a little elbow grease, clock skillset and ingenuity while up inside the tower’s loft to adjust the clock hands. One more project to still be completed is reinstalling one of the clocks hands which was also knocked off during the storm. The hand is being restored and awaits possible installation by one of the city’s firehouse hook and ladders.
"The mechanism that keeps the library clocks in motion is the original as manufactured by Seth Thomas Clocks of Thomaston in 1891."
