Derby Neck Library hosts Afternoon TeaV on Tuesdays


Afternoon TeaV
Tuesday, May 13 - 1-2:30 p.m.


As in our pre-Covid days, attendees will be meeting each Tuesday at 1 p.m. to enjoy a showing on our large-screen TV. 
Following the show, we will stay on for a discussion. Light, individually wrapped snacks and flavored teas are served at each meeting. Join us in the Community Room!
We ask that no food or drink be brought into the event at this time.

Derby community garden planting day slated Monday


DERBY - Community gardening planting days! With your participation Scouts of Troop 3 are kicking off the garden season. 
Join us Monday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Fifth and Olivia Streets when we'll plant seeds and seedlings in this corner community garden (across from Derby Veterans Center).
FREE. No RSVP necessary.
All are welcome! Randy Ritter and his Scouts will be on hand to guide you. 
No experience necessary. Gloves and a hand shovel are helpful but up to you. We strive to grow food available for picking by anyone who needs more healthy food on their table.
Simply drop in each Saturday morning or Wednesday afternoon thereafter for some watering, weeding and harvesting.
