Rochelle announces Farmers to Families food box distribution in Derby

This is shared from a press release from state Rep. Kara Rochelle, D-Ansonia/Derby:

ANSONIA - On Tuesday, fellow leaders and I joined TEAM at Nolan Field to provide families with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, and milk during the USDA Farm to Families Food Box distribution. 

That afternoon, we ran out of food boxes around 3 p.m. We handed out 28,000 pounds of food in about three hours. Families in the Lower Valley have been significantly impacted by the ongoing pandemic and are need of help.

Another food box distribution is scheduled for Oct. 19 from 12 to 4:30 p.m. at 210 Chatfield St., Derby.

TEAM, Inc can also help families put food on their table as well as obtain personal hygiene products, provide energy assistance, and more.
