CED Technologies donates $3,500 to 5K Walk/Run at Griffin Hospital in Derby

CED Technologies CEO Jeffrey C. Richard, fourth from left, recently presented a $3,500 donation to the Annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital.

From left: Medical Director of the Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness at Griffin Hospital Dr. Denise Barajas, Griffin Health President/CEO Patrick Charmel, CED Technologies Client Service Manager Linda Nilsen, CED Human Resources Manager Gina McKay, Center for Cancer Care Director Laura Howell, Griffin Special Event Coordinator Lisa Nista, and CED Marketing and Digital Media Manager Brooke Roberts.

DERBY - CED Technologies, Inc. of Shelton recently donated $3,500 to help area cancer patients receive exceptional care and provide financial relief to patients in need.

The donation will support the Annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital.

The 2023 5K Walk/Run had a special tie to CED Technologies as the event’s inspirational survivor speaker, Girard Nilsen, is married to the company’s Client Service Manager Linda Nilsen. The event so inspired the Nilsens that Linda requested CED direct their annual fundraising efforts to the 5K Walk/Run.

For 15 years, the 5K Walk/Run has raised funds to provide exceptional, personalized cancer care and to help ease any financial burden Griffin’s cancer patients face as they undergo treatment.
