Ansonia Police charge Enfield man in April street takeover; 3rd arrest in investigation

ANSONIA - Zackary Bellefeulle, 25, of Enfield  was arrested by warrant today for his involvement in the April 26, 2025 street takeover in Ansonia. Bellefeulle turned himself in and is the third arrest in the investigation. 

Police said more arrests are expected as detectives continue to investigate and identify others involved in the incident.

 

Bellefeulle was charged with riot first degree, conspiracy to riot first degree, risk of injury, reckless endangerment first degree, and breach of peace second degree. 

He was held on a $50,000 bond to be arraigned June 25, 2025 at Derby Superior Court.

 

All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ansonia Police arrest Bridgeport man in 2023 shots fired incident

ANSONIA - Xavier Glover, 23, of Bridgeport was taken into custody Sunday on an arrest warrant for his involvement in a June 2023 shots fired investigation, police said today. 

On June 14, 2023 officer and detectives from the Ansonia Police Department investigated a report of shots fired on Orchard Street and South Street. Through the course of the investigation Xavier Glover was identified as a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest. 


Glover was charged with unlawful discharge and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on a $100,000 bond and arraigned June 25 at Derby Superior Court.

 

All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ansonia Police charge New Haven man in domestic violence incidents

ANSONIA - On June 24, 2025, Darryl Giles, 35, of New Haven was taken into custody on two arrest warrants for domestic violence incidents that occurred in Ansonia on June 24, 2025 and June 16, 2025, Lt. Patrick Lynch said today.

Both of the incidents involved the same victim.

 

During the June 16 incident Giles is accused of forcing his way into the victim’s home in violation of a protective order. 

Giles was charged with violation of protective order, burglary second degree and criminal trespass first degree. He was held on a court set bond of $75,000 and arraigned June 25 at Derby Superior Court.

 

During the June 24 incident Giles is accused of entering the victim’s home in violation of a protective order and assaulting the victim causing serious head and facial injuries. 

Giles was charged with Assault Second Degree, Violation of Protective Order, Criminal Trespass First Degree, Disorderly Conduct and Operating Under Suspension, he was held on a court set $500,000 bond and arraigned June 25 at Derby Superior Court.

 

All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
