I watched Wednesday's sunset from a different location than I usually do. Here is a slice of nature's beautiful colors that I enjoyed.


Derby to hold annual service on Green to remember Sept. 11 terrorist attacks

DERBY -  A service to remember the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday on the Derby Green.

The annual service will be held at the city’s Sept. 11 memorial, which is on the Elizabeth Street side of the Green. Ample on-street parking is available.

Friday marks the 19th anniversary of the attack on the U.S.

Please wear a face mask and follow COVID-19 protocols. 


Adam's House in Shelton slates training for Friend in Grief volunteers

 

SHELTON - Adam's House grief education center, 241 Coram Ave., has scheduled Friend in Grief training dates.

They are:
Nov. 5, 5-8 p.m.
Nov. 6, 5-8 p.m.
Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.


"Want to volunteer in our program and be a Friend In Grief to children trying to cope with the death of a loved one? Become a FIG! 

"All days must be completed in order to qualify to volunteer in group.
A $100 fee includes background check and cost of materials. This training will be held on-site at Adam's House with scheduled outside break-outs, weather permitting.

Ansonia Library waives fees for overdue materials

"Have any materials that are overdue? Even though we are closed to the public, now is the time to return any item and any late fees associated with that item will be waived."

The Library is at 53 S. Cliff St.
