Derby Cultural Commission to hold tree lighting this Friday

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING will be held Friday, Nov. 24 from 6-8 p.m. on the Derby Green.

(Note: city website, the event is at 6 p.m., not 5 p.m.)

Teens invited to create holiday garland at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton

SHELTON - Calling all crafty tweens and teens for this holiday-themed program at Plumb Memorial Library.  

Tweens and teens 12 and older will create a holiday garland under the guidance of a volunteer from the Friends of the Shelton Libraries. 

All registrants must bring gardening gloves, pruning shears/clippers, and scissors. 

All materials to make the garland will be provided, courtesy of our big support system the Friends of the Shelton Libraries.

Program will be held from noon-2 p.m. Dec. 9. Register today, limited space available.

The Library is at 65 Wooster St.
