Mystery series topic of Derby Public Library lunchtime book discussion in July

DERBY - Join us [at Derby Public Library] on Zoom at 12:30 p.m. July 28 for the Lunchtime Book Discussion.

The July discussion will be in a different format. 

Using Joanne Fluke’s popular cozy mystery series, Hannah Swensen, participants can choose any book to read in this series.  

Everyone will give a synopsis of the book they chose to read.

The Hallmark TV series “Murder, She Baked” is based on the Hannah Swensen series by Joanne Fluke.  

The star of this series is a small town baker with a penchant for solving crimes, while serving up a delicious cozy mystery series with a side order of recipes.

The library has a large selection of the series available to browse.

DERBY - Derby Public Library virtual lunchtime book discussion slated at 12:30 p.m. June 30 features The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.

Derby Public Library virtual Lunchtime Book Discussion to feature memoir

DERBY - The Derby Public Library Lunchtime Book Discussion scheduled at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 27 will feature “Educated” by Tara Westover.

One of the most acclaimed books of our time, "Educated" is an unforgettable memoir about a young woman who, kept out of school, leaves her survivalist family and goes on to earn a PhD from Cambridge and emphasizes the importance of education to enlarging her world. 

She details her journey from her isolated life in the mountains of Idaho to completing a PhD program in history at Cambridge University.

'Twelve Dogs of Christmas' topic of discussion at Derby Public Library

DERBY - All are invited to Derby Public Library's monthly Lunchtime Book Discussion at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 4. 
The featured book will be “The Twelve Dogs of Christmas” by David Rosenfelt, who is known for his legal thrillers filled with wry humor.
