Wednesday afternoon movies on tap at Seymour Public Library


SEYMOUR - Seymour Public Library September Wednesday movies hosted by the adult department start at 1 p.m.

Movies are free and registration is not required. Bring a sweater- it can get cold in the lower level. Note - there will not be a movie on Sept 11.

Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton offers tai chi for adults on Wednesdays


SHELTON - Plumb Memorial Library is offering Tai Chi workshops for adults. 
They are held on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. in the Library’s Meeting Room. 
The Library is at 65 Wooster St.

The class will be taught by Debbie Wooley, a certified instructor with the Health Institute has been practicing Tai Chi for the past 10 years and been teaching it for five years.
Debbie will be teaching the Tai Chi for Arthritis method which uses the Sun style. Each class will begin and end each class with a series of warm up and cool down exercises. 

There is no prerequisite to participate in this class. No equipment is necessary and participants may do this seated if they feel more comfortable.

The program is free and open to the public.

Seymour Public Library to host movies on Wednesdays in April


SEYMOUR - Join us [at Seymour Public Library, 46 Church St.] in the lower level auditorium April 6 for a movie! 

The movie starts at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

We'll be showing a recently released romantic comedy from this year starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Maluma. 
It is rated PG-13 and its duration is 1h 52m.
Due to copyright issues, we are not allowed to publish the title on social media.

Derby Neck Library to host Watch Party today via Zoom


Looking for someone to watch your favorite shows with? 

Join us [at Derby Neck Library at 4 p.m.] every other Wednesday over Zoom [starting today] and we’ll use the watch party function on streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ to connect with friends new and old! 
We’ll check out shows like Raven’s Home, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Adventure Time, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Fuller House, and more! 
Every meeting we will vote on what to watch and everyone will be given a chance to choose.

Derby Neck Library hosting virtual Gadgets & Gizmos Club on Wednesdays

Classic movies, donuts, matinees offered at Derby Public Library

DERBY - The Derby Public Library has started a new weekly series for ages 18 and over, 
Tuesday Morning Donuts and Movie Classics, at 10 a.m. Tuesdays.   


Each week a popular movie classic will be shown and donuts will be provided. 
A listing of scheduled movies will be posted at the Library.  
Movie suggestions are welcomed.  
Registration is requested.  

Wednesday matinees
The Derby Public Library continues its weekly Wednesday Movie Matinees series for ages 18 and over.
Newly released DVDs will be shown at 1 p.m. every Wednesday.
Light snacks will be provided. Registration is requested.
