ANSONIA - Mayor David S. Cassetti’s Adopt-A-Spot beautification program enters its second year by welcoming two new adoption partners who began beautifying their sites Wednesday. One is the Ansonia Rotary Club which brought several volunteers to prep their large flower garden at Haddad Park located on the corner of Bridge and Main Streets downtown.
At the corner of Tremont and East Main Streets, Road Ready Used Cars began prepping their site with weed removal to be followed by an extensive flower planting.
For those familiar with Road Ready’s impressive business property landscaping, owner Ron Saracino promises similar beauty at their Adopt-A-Spot site.
A total of 15 highly visible sites throughout the city have been adopted by businesses or residents to maintain and provide plantings.
The mayor says he is open to other ideas from residents or businesses to support his ongoing Clean & Green initiative.
Have a beautification idea you would like to initiate, suggest or discuss?
