SHELTON - The small but mighty puzzle pieces are back to taunt competitors at Written Words Books & Gifts’ 3rd Annual Jigsaw Puzzle Competition! It features 10 teams, each with a 500-piece puzzle.

And who will knock two-time champions - the “Perennial Puzzlers” off their throne?
This year’s competition will be held from 2-5 p.m. May 18 at 430 Coram Ave. (formerly St. Joseph Catholic School building).
The friendly competition requires four members to a team (must be age 12 and older). Registration fee is $50 per team and the group who completes a 500-piece puzzle fastest within the allotted time frame wins. Prizes will be awarded.

The competition is organized by members of Written Words Books & Gifts’ in-house jigsaw puzzle group called “POP,” which aptly stands for “Puzzle Obsessed People.”
