The selected title is the New York Times' best-selling coming of age novel with a hint of mystery, Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger.
The setting is New Breman, Minn. during the summer of 1961.
While it is a time of innocence and hope for the country, for 13-year old Frank Drum it is a grim summer in which death visits frequently and assumes many forms.
Told from Frank's perspective, 40 years after that fateful summer, this is the moving account of a boy standing at the door of manhood, trying to understand a world that seems to be falling apart around him.
Multiple copies of the book are available at the circulation desk.
Participants are asked to bring a sandwich and a friend as they “chat and chew.”
