"This is Seymour First Selectman Kurt Miller with a public service announcement utilizing the Code Red System.
"Snow has again piled up in downtown Seymour, restricting parking and making the streets narrow.
"Effective Friday, March 6th at 10 PM there will be a parking ban encompassing Main, First, Columbus, Wakeley, DeForest and Bank Streets. This ban will stay in effect until Saturday, March 7th at 8 AM to allow Public Works to work without interruption. During this time we ask that all cars be removed from these streets. Vehicles that remain will be towed. Should you have any questions regarding this, please contact the Seymour Police Department at 203-881-7600.
"Further, garbage pickup was suspended today, Thursday, March 5th due to the weather. Winters Brothers will be returning tomorrow to pick up the roads that were missed. If they do not finish the remainder tomorrow they will return Saturday."
