Derby Public Library to host robot-making activity for kids

DERBY - Create! STEAM activity (Ages 10-14) on Tuesday, March 21 from 4-5 p.m. at Derby Public Library. 
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) activity geared for tweens/teens featuring a Solar Robot Kit.

Derby Neck Library offers Makerspace fun on Wednesdays

DERBY - Come check out Derby Neck Library's brand new Makerspace between 3 and 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the Children’s Room.

Every Wednesday Miss Krissy and Miss Sarah will be on hand from 3-6 p.m. to assist you with any project you’d like to complete. 

We have a LEGO wall, a 3D printer, a programmable robot, snap circuits, origami, pixel art, ingredients for slime–you name it, we can make it happen!

Please note that the Makerspace is flooded with small parts, so we do not recommend it for very young children.

Derby Public Library to offer Take & Make STEAM kits for tweens and teens

DERBY - Calling all tweens and teens ages 10-14! Create! Take & Make a STEAM Kit between 1 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 27 at Derby Public Library.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) kits are available. The kits feature a different STEAM-based project each session such as the Solar Robot one shown above. 

All materials to complete the activities will be included and available for vestibule pickup. Registration required at https://bit.ly/3hs30XL
