Regular readers may recall that I recently dubbed the melatonin supplement I was encouraged to take a "miracle pill."
I reported trouble sleeping, and melatonin was prescribed. You can read that post here.
I take it back! Melatonin may help me to fall asleep, but it certainly doesn't help me stay asleep for more than a few hours in a row.
Sleep is so overrated! Just kidding.
Someday ... zzzzz

More on melatonin
I may have spoken too soon in yesterday's post about taking melatonin.
I called it a miracle pill because it let me sleep almost five hours in a row, which was a treat.
Last night the pill only allowed me to sleep for three hours in a row. I may have jinxed myself!
* Thanks for following along with me on my post-transplant journey. It's therapeutic to write about my experience.

Miracle pill?
I think I discovered a miracle pill last evening: melatonin, a hormone supplement.
Taking a small dose helped me to fall asleep and stay asleep for almost five hours, the most I've slept since my transplant surgery two weeks ago.
I'm grateful to the nurse who suggested I try it!
I've read that melatonin is non-addictive. I certainly hope so.
I only expect to take it temporarily during my recuperation.
