Recuperation journey: Breakfast time
Blurry photo taken through a glass door but one can see this blue jay was ready for an egg shell snack this morning.
Have a great Friday!

Recuperation journey: Breakfast on the patio
Lucky captures taken through the patio door this morning.
When the female flew away the male landed on the table.

Recuperation journey: Pre- and post-storm pics
Blue jay gets a mid-afternoon snack Monday.
A double rainbow appeared after the thunderstorm but this is all I could capture.

Recuperation journey: Shell game
This morning I watched as this guy swooped down onto the icy patio, picked up an egg shell that I had tossed outside yesterday, and took it to the side yard for his breakfast.
Hope he enjoyed it!

Recuperation journey: Shell game
Regular readers know I've been putting egg shells out in the yard several times a week for the blue jays.

(Photo taken through a needs-to-be-washed glass door.)

Recuperation journey: Quick capture
Yep, another egg shell story.
8:30 a.m.: Sitting at the computer and I notice a blue jay pick up a shell and fly into the forsythia.
I guess I can still move pretty fast because I was able to grab the camera and get these photos.
The question is, will he share a piece of shell with his feathered friends?

Recuperation journey: Blue jay breakfast
Seen through the window this morning ...
These photos were taken a few minutes apart and I'm not even sure if it's the same bird.
On Thursday I wrote this post about 'training' the blue jays. And so the saga continues.
