Celebrate Shelton to present final Downtown Sounds event of summer



SHELTON - Don't miss out on the last week for Downtown Sounds 2019 at Veterans Memorial Park. It is going to be an amazing night, we hope to see you all there!

Music:
An amazing music lineup this Friday with Jen Durkin and the Business (Rock) and The Big Takeover (Reggae)


Food Trucks:
Pierogies on wheels, Szabo's Seafood - Food Truck Company, Fryborg,
Meˈstēzō Grill, Tipsy Cones, and Lucky Dog Food Truck.


Beer Garden:
Beer by New Belgium Brewing


For the Kiddos: 
Kids Hour kicks off at 5 p.m. this week with Hands on Drumming CT!

The Hops Company in Derby to host Fisher House fundraiser

DERBY - The Hops Company, Connecticut’s only authentic beer garden, will host its third annual “Road Home for the Holidays” charitable event from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 30. 
Partnering with Two Roads Brewery for the third year, the event will be a memorable night filled with fun, food, great beer, games, raffles, and contests including ugly holiday sweater contest to benefit military service men and women. 
The Hops Company and Two Roads will donate $1 from the sale of each Two Roads pint of beer to the Fisher House Foundation.  
The Fisher House Foundation reunites families of injured veterans while they’re in the hospital. It uses donations to build large, multi-family homes where loved ones can stay without charge while their heroes heal.

Bobby Wheeler will be playing live music from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Save the date: Food Truck Festival on tap in Shelton



SHELTON - Food Trucks on the River - an autumn food truck festival featuring a beer garden - will be held at Veterans Memorial Park from 4-9 p.m. Oct. 19. 
The event will feature more than 25 food trucks, live music, children's activities, a beer garden, and more.
Rain date is Oct. 26.

Adam's House, a grief education center at 241 Coram Ave., has been named the recipient of some of the proceeds from this event.
