'Turnback Tuesday' highlights Academy, Sentinel Hills in East Derby

Turnback Tuesday visits this old postcard of where Academy Hill and Sentinel Hill Roads as we know them today meet. The photographer is standing on Sentinel Hill while Academy Hill goes to the right.
To the extreme right of the image is where the Derby Birmingham Reservoir was located, called the Ansonia Lower Reservoir today.
The black arrow in the back shows Chamberlain Hill highlighted (Image 2) and the blue arrow is Swift Corner also highlighted (Image 2).
The road that goes off to the left is now called High Street.

Thanks goes to Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
