'Turnback Tuesday' features aftermath of Flood of 1955 in downtown Ansonia

Turnback Tuesday shares an image of the aftermath of the Flood of 1955.
Spector Furniture on Main Street, Ansonia, suffered complete loss of merchandise as did so many other businesses and homes in the area. Luckily, Spector Furniture survived and is still in the same location today.
Derby Public Library will be having a display on the 70th Anniversary of the Flood that includes never-before-seen images taken by Harold B. Yudkin as well as some testimonials from those who were there.

Thanks as always to Derby Public Library staff for sharing interesting local history each week.
