Derby Neck Library to host presentation on 19th century murders

DERBY - Join us at Derby Neck Library for a presentation on Derby’s own “black widow” serial killer.

Lydia Sherman was arrested, tried, and convicted for the murder of her third husband, Horatio Sherman, in 1872 - but the complete story is much more disturbing than you might expect, and her list of victims much longer.

This somewhat macabre program is an ideal way to kick off the Halloween season!

We will be meeting in the Community Room at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21. The Library is at 307 Hawthorne Ave.

The presentation is expected to last approximately one hour, and light refreshments will be offered afterward.

This is shared from the Library's website.
