Turnback Tuesday looks at Charles E. Bristol, Druggist. Charles opened his business, Bristol Drug Co., at 96 Main St., Ansonia (Opera House block) in 1890.
The store provided drugs, chemicals, acids as well as stationary, paints, oils and varnish. Charles’ son Theodore L. took over as President in 1892 but Charles remained involved until his death in 1919. Theodore stepped down as President in 1941.
