Valley resident launches 'Run Cancer out of CT' campaign for 2022

A Valley resident known to many as Where's Percy today posted his plans on Facebook for a unique fundraiser for the nonprofit Seymour Pink, a community's fight against breast cancer.

I am re-posting what he wrote with his permission:

"This is going to be a long post but PLEASE read it fully.

I hope everybody had a happy and safe start to their new year.
Now to announce my big plans for 2022.
As we all know the past 2 years have been difficult ones, personally for some, health wise for some and even financially for some.
For 2022 I am going to go on a year long campaign, starting today and going right through to Dec 31st. In honor and memory of my aunt, Cindy Morosko who had passed away 15 years ago this year, the campaign is going to be called RUN CANCER OUT OF CT.
The land area of CT is approximately 4,800 square miles, so I have decided to create a fundraiser to raise $4,800 for the phenomenal non profit group called Seymour Pink, and in doing so I am going to run(walk) 4,800 miles. That averages out to 13 miles per day, the equivalent of a half marathon.
What I am going to need is a lot of encouragement and support to reach these 2 goals.
You can find out some more information in regards to this campaign over at my website, @runcanceroutofct.com.

There you will be able to track my progress as well as make donations. The website will be updated periodically with donation progress, mile progress, photos of different events and runs. You will also see tentative races that I will be participating in. If you can come out to encourage me at these events that would be awesome.
Please tell your friends and family to check out and follow my website, my Facebook page (@wherespercynow) or my Facebook account to see what is going on.
Thank you in advance and I'm looking forward to this journey with everyone this year. "
